PEMBA Summits 20,000-Foot Peak: Sherpas Suddenly Feeling Very Replaceable.

In a jaw-dropping display of robotic endurance, Tesla’s humanoid robot PEMBA has become the first non-biological entity to summit an unnamed 20,000-foot (6,096 m) Himalayan peak — potentially carrying over 300 pounds of expedition gear without breaking a sweat (mostly because it doesn’t have sweat glands).

Witnesses say PEMBA reached the summit at sunrise, fist raised in perfect mechanical triumph, oxygen tanks, ropes, and backpacks still neatly strapped as it had just finished a light Tuesday morning stroll. No supplemental oxygen needed. No complaints about the cold. No dramatic “I’m one with the mountain” Instagram captions. Just pure, efficient, battery-powered dominance.

The reaction from the global Sherpa community has been… priceless.“I’ve carried 80 kilos up Everest 14 times,” said veteran guide Tenzing Norbu from Base Camp. “This metal guy shows up, hauls three times that, and still has perfect posture. I’m going to go cry into my yak butter tea.”Another Sherpa, watching the viral summit video on loop, muttered, “We taught the world how to climb these mountains… and now the world sent a robot to do it better.
